Plenty of Newcastle supporters would be excited to see the club move for Tottenham’s Danny Rose this month, amid fresh links to the defender.
According to the London Evening Standard, Steve Bruce’s side could make a move for the player, with Spurs ready to let him to leave for a ‘nominal fee’.
Rose has been out of favour under Jose Mourinho, featuring just five times in all competitions since the former Manchester United boss took the job (WhoScored). As per the report, the Tottenham manager has denied any suggestions of an ‘altercation’ between himself and the defender.
Newcastle could benefit from some reinforcements at left-back, with both Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett due to miss the rest of the season through their respective injuries (BBC).
