According to Football Italia there have been no offers for Napoli goalkeeper, Pepe Reina.
When speaking to Il Mattino newspaper, Reina’s agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon stated: “We do not have offers from any other clubs, as we are focused on Napoli and expect news pretty soon”.
Reina is currently under contract until 2018 at the Italian giants in Naples, however, is reportedly weighing up whether to sign a new contract or not. Reina played an impressive 48 games this season but it seems as though he fears for his first-team position.
Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Reina as they look to bolster their squad for their return to the Premier League.
It may seem like a strange move for Reina to go from a Champions League side to a newly promoted Premier League team. However, the Spaniard has worked with Benitez before, both at Liverpool and at Napoli so a reunion would not be unexpected.
