Predicted XI: Crystal Palace (H)

Southampton is a tough place to go for most teams and Newcastle can take a lot of stock from their performance at St. Mary’s last season.

For the most part, Newcastle defended fair well and if not for a daft challenge from Florian Lejeune probably come away with all three points.

However, it wasn’t to be for Rafa Benitez but a point ensures Newcastle maintained their place in the top ten of the Premier League.

Next up for Newcastle is a home game against bottom-placed Crystal Palace and just a week ago this looked like a gimme three points after the Eagles failed to win or score in their first seven games.

Roy Hodgson’s side, inspired by a returning Wilfried Zaha, put in an incredible performance against defending Premier League champions Chelsea as they pulled off a 2-1 win.

Here is our predicted Newcastle XI for tomorrow’s game.
