Newcastle Player Ratings: Wolves (A)

There was late heartbreak for Newcastle United after a 95th minute equaliser pegged back Rafa Benitez’s side to a 1-1 draw at Molineux.

It was a story of two goalkeeping howlers after Isaac Hayden gave the visitors the lead 10 minutes into the second-half.

This came as a result of two errors by Wolves keeper Rui Patricio, the latter of which allowed the ball into the back of the net despite Hayden’s effort being straight at him.

United then resiliently held on for much of the second-half as they went into four minutes of injury-time.

However, a harmless Adama Traore cross led to Magpies keeper Martin Dubravka trying to catch the ball but ultimately misjudging the situation.

The ball went through Dubrvka’s arms for Willy Boly to head in a dramatic equaliser.

This point moves Newcastle one point clear of the relegation zone but it could so easily have been three.

Newcastle can take heart from this performance however and here’s how we rated their players:
