Loan Watch: Rangers Five

After joining Rangers along with 4 other Newcastle youngsters in January, it appears that Shane Ferguson may be nearing full fitness to eventually join the rest of his team mates north of the border.

Newcastle United head coach had this to say about the young forward, “Young Fergie is almost ready, he’s two or three weeks away from going up to Rangers to continue his loan.”

With the Gers sitting in third place 7 points behind second place Hibs and only 4 points in front of fourth placed Queen of The South, they will be hoping that Ferguson makes a speedy recover and can join up with the team sooner rather than later.

Rangers have recently appointed Stuart McCall as their manager for the rest of the season, he will be eager to get the Newcastle contingent fit in the push for the playoffs.

Out of the five players who agreed to come to Glasgow for 6 months (Haris Vuckic, Remie Streete, Gael Bigirimana, Kevin Mbabu and Shane Ferguson) only Vuckic and Streete have made their debuts for the Ibrox side.

Streete has played less than 45 minutes whereas Vuckic has scored 3 goals in 7 appearances.

matchday.
