Manchester United came from behind to beat Newcastle 4-1 at Old Trafford.

Dwight Gayle opened the scoring for the Magpies, becoming the first away team to score at Old Trafford in the league all season.

However, United hit back, and would level in the 31st minute through Anthony Martial, picking up on the returning Paul Pogba’s cross to equalise.

Chris Smalling would put United into the lead just before half time, before Pogba scored a goal of his own in the 54th minute. Romelu Lukaku would score the fourth in the 70th minute, completing the rout and scoring his first goal since the 30th September.

This would be Newcastle’s third defeat in a row, although they did manage 5 shots on target from their twelve shots on goal.

The result leaves Newcastle in 11th place in the table, just behind fellow promoted club Huddersfield Town.

Here, we rate the performances of the Newcastle United players after the 4-1 defeat to Manchester United.
